Karen Lauritzen writes short stories, poetry and essays. Her work has been published in Kaleidoscope Magazine: Exploring the Experience of Disability Through the Fine Arts,The Crysalis Reader, WNC-Woman Magazine, and Women’s Spaces, Women’s Places, an anthology of women writers.
Her memoir Nothing Vanishes, Memoir of a Life Transformed was written in Brevard, North Carolina, where she writes finding inspiration living at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, One of the stories from the memoir, “Seat 7F,” won honorary mention in the Carpe Articulum Literary Awards. She is currently at work on a novel.
