Robert R. Brooks (R.R. Brooks) spent his career doing pharmaceutical research and development. Now living in western North Carolina with a wife and two enormous cats, he writes both fiction and nonfiction. A dozen science fiction and fantasy stories have been published (e.g., .The Deist, Xenolith, The Vision Vase, and To Believe or Not). His play, a comedy historical piece, was performed in 2005 and 2007. The epic fantasy novel Justi the Gifted was published by Leo Publishing in January 2015 (excerpt at www.leopublishing.net). A psychological mystery novel The Clown Forest Murders, co-written with A.C. Brooks, will be published by Black Opal Publishing. A science fiction novel and second fantasy novel are underway. He is a member of the Blue Ridge Writers Group, the Appalachian Round Table, the Brevard Authors Guild, International Thriller Writers, and the N.C. Writers Network. Several fantasy short stories, an essay, and short biographies have been published. The science fiction short “Soul Snatch” received an honorable mention in the 2003 Writers Digest competition and has been published. His short play “Wee White Critters” was performed at the White Squirrel Festival in Brevard, NC in 2005 and 2007. He has written a full-length play based on a science fiction short story “Causality Threads.”
